Watergrass Elementary, built by Creative Contractors Inc., has
received LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
It is the first school in the Tampa Bay region to be certified under the new
LEED for Schools Rating System and one of only five in the state.
Located in Wesley Chapel and designed by Holmes Hepner & Associates Architects, the $14.8 million facility was designed to be energy and water
efficient with superior indoor air quality. The materials used to construct
the 100,000 square foot building were non-toxic and high in recycled
content with an emphasis on locally sourced and manufactured products.
This is Creative Contractors' fifth project to achieve LEED Certification.
